Project 4: Final project 20%

Due: Tuesday, December 13, 2011

Develop a fully designed site according to the material presented for Project #3. The site must be designed to show video in experimental fashion. You can decide what this means for you. You can develop a site that is more like an art work, or a site that may function like a portfolio of videos. In either case, your video/s must be experimental in nature, and the site must explore and demonstrate the unique aspects that make streaming video online possible.

Requirements:

  • You must produce your own footage.
  • You should have at least three pages of content.
  • One of your pages must be a reference page that shows the research you did in order to develop your final project. At least ten references.
  • All pages must be in PHP and CSS 3, and use Flash for video delivery. You may also choose to use html 5 video scripting, but this is not necessary.
  • One jQuery feature of your choice.
  • You must have at least three videos for viewing.
  • Your design must be unique. Even if you use a CSS template from another source, make sure to change it enough to develop your own style.
  • All files are due in zip format. They must be properly compressed in a folder that when launched will show all material properly.
  • Videos should be uploaded to your own server, and linked properly.
  • You need also to turn in your actual videos as separate files on the day of the final.
