I thought for a second that Andy did not really mention Halston after 1984, or so, because, maybe, he died. But Halston died in 1990. Sounds like they were having a falling out, though. Not spending Christmas together. who knows. As to Bianca taking the scarve out of the frame it's just funny! I mean, maybe she thought it was Andy's way of wrapping up a gift.

Hmm... this reminds of Chappelle's famous skit--wrap it up, B!

I love the Youtube comments:

When the judge says "Young man, you have been found guilty by a jury of your peers." The way he shakes his head in disappointment after the judge tells him that is funny lol

Well, if Gael took out the spicy stuff for Interview Magazine about Chris and Keith going to bed in the name of Andy, at least Rolling Stone published a fairly candid Haring Interview:

How did these artists inspire you?
The thing I responded to most was their belief that art could reach all kinds of people, as opposed to the traditional view, which has art as this elitist thing. The fact that these influences quote-unquote happened to along change the whole course I was on. Then another so-called coincidence happened. I applied at a public-employment place for work and happened to get placed in a job at what’s now the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. I was painting walls and repairing the roof and things. I started using their facilities to do bigger and bigger paintings. When someone canceled an exhibition and they had an empty space, the director offered me an exhibit in one of the galleries. For Pittsburgh, this was a big thing, especially for me, being nineteen and showing in the best place I could show in Pittsburgh besides the museum. From that time, I knew I wasn't going to be satisfied with Pittsburgh anymore or with the life I was living there. I had started sleeping with men. I wanted to get away from the girl I was living with. She said she was pregnant. I was in the position of having to get married and be a father or making a break. One thing I knew for sure: I didn't want to stay there and be a Pittsburgh artist and married with a family. I decided to make a major break. New York was the only place to go.

There was a Warhol Robot actually. I found this great entry at Warholstars:

The robot was designed by Alvaro Villa shortly before Warhol's death for use in a stage show titled Andy Warhol: A No Man Show based on Warhol's books, The Philosophy of Andy Warhol (From A to B and Back Again) and Exposures. The production was to be produced for Broadway by Lewis Allen of Annie fame, but the project was cancelled after Warhol's death. (Mr. Allen passed away in December of last year).

Bob Colacello: "... there was a big project that Fred [Hughes] killed after Andy died. Lewis Allen, who was the producer of Annie and of Tru, the Truman Capote one-man show, had taken an option on the Philosophy of Andy Warhol and Exposures and had this wonderful idea to make the two books into something called Andy Warhol: A No Man Show. It was going to be a robot of Andy sitting on stage just gossiping and philosophizing based on the text of those two books. Peter Sellars was going to direct it. But the technology kept moving so quickly that every time Lew thought he had a robot, they'd find they could make an even more advanced robot, which would have eleven hand movements instead of three hand movements. And so he'd actually invest more money to get a better robot and then that would put the whole project back a year or two.

Andy loved this idea; he loved the fact that there was going to be this Andy Warhol robot that he could send on lecture tours. It could do talk shows for him. The idea was that the show, if it was successful in New York, could then also simultaneously be running in London, Los Angeles, Tokyo with cloned robots. And people would actually be able to ask questions of the robot, which would be programmed with a variety of answers. The whole thing was so Warholian and so perfect.

But when Andy died, Fred refused to renew the option. I owned fifty percent of Philosophy and Exposures, and Andy owned fifty percent after he died. In any case, the deal was killed. I think that Fred didn't want this Warhol robot haunting his existence. It's a shame. It really would have been the greatest thing that could have happened for Andy. It would have almost been like coming back from the dead. And he really loved the project. He sat for hours at some high-tech place in the San Fernando Valley where they made a mold of his face and his hands... there's a whole photo session of it. (BC)

Never really understood Opera. I think Andy got it, but not always. Thinking that the good looking boy's singing was for a comedy is really funny. But why ask Andy to listen to him? Maybe to make a movie? Andy was not making movies anymore at this point. Or was he? Hmm... Maybe. His last movie was done in 1987 according to IMDB. I'll hook up the whole record here, just in case that website goes offline (hold on, it's a long list):

The winner is the winner. It does sound idiotic, but somehow Andy makes it work. Or I want him to make it work, he's like Midas. He could touch shit and turn it into gold.

The winner is the winner (beauty pageant):

The moment of truth - who will be Miss Glamouresse?

The winner is the winner (boxing):

Judges decides the winner of the round and in the end of the winner is the winner of most of the round. But some time winner knockout the opponent. there are many moves in muay Thai like HAK KOR AIYARA in this the contender pull down there opponent and attack with his knee on the face.

The winner is the winner (Women's Marathon):

In addition to the number of enormously talented athletes, the elimination of pacemakers may pepper the contest with additional drama, as head-to-head racing is likely to ensue. “Whoever is the strongest will win anyway,” says Tomescu-Dita. “Without pacers, you can now go for a world record. The winner is the winner whether there is a pacemaker or not.”

Andy had a negative vibe going. Hating on Makos, his buddy. This was one of the few times I read about him stalk smack about Chris. I think Andy liked him. He let Chris take the best rooms when they travelled, especially towards the end of his life. And to this day, Chris is milking to the max his liaison with Andy. He even has a whole section on Andy, which shows off the very same picture in drag Andy complained about in his diary that Chris was selling. The section is introduced with the following quote:

"Christopher was Andy's Andy — the bright and funny and lively and innocent side. Christopher shows us Andy having fun and being Andy." — Jann Wenner, Rolling Stone
